Micronet International College

Introduction:


In this exercise i am going to introduce about a company in Brunei called Micronet International College (MIC). MICRONET INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE was established in December 1989 to cater for end user training and higher learning education in Negara Brunei Darussalam. It is a 100% local owned company which was incorporated independently at No 11 & 12, Kompleks Haji Tahir 2, Sungai Gadong Menglait. 


Micronet International College was the first private school (formerly known as Micronet Computer School ) registered and approved by the Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam to offer computer courses. The primary objective is to assist the local industries to enhance the IT Knowledge and skills of their employee.
Armed with the objective of providing computer literacy to the widest spectrum of people in the region, Micronet International College offers the widest range of computer courses varying from computer application training to professional examination and diploma / advanced diploma courses.

Strengths
What does the company do well?
- The company do well are basic orientation of combining theory and practice has enable the college to develop and offer programs of study that reflect the changing and emerging need of contemporary both domestically and on an international scale.

Is the company strong in its market?
- Yes it is.

Weaknesses
What does the company do poorly?
-The company do poorly when in the class is too many student.

What problems could be avoided?
-The problems could be avoided to seperate classroom and make the limitation of student at least 22 maximum student in one class.

Opportunities
Do new markets exist for the company?
-Make an advertisement with online, newspaper and etc to increase the market for the company.

Can new technologies be exploited?
-In this company, the technology still lack, slow and the computer updated still like the same.

Threats
What are competitors doing well?
-CIGS, Laksamana College and Cosmo.

Are there changes in the business environment?
-Yes there changes for example on Laksamana College, they advertise their market on the cinema.

Conclusion:
What do you find from your research and analysis?
- In my research, Micronet International College emphasize personal attention and the development of individual abilities, skills and knowledge is always they first consideration.
